This book accompanies Deutsch Direkt!, a BBC Radio and Television course for beginners in German, though more advanced students will also find it useful. It contains texts of conversations and interviews recorded and filmed in West Germany and Austria. The book can be used on its own or in conjunction with the radio and television programmes (both available in Youtube). The radio programmes contain most of the conversations printed in this book. 20 Lessons + Tests + Reference section: pronunciation, grammar, answers to exercises and glossary.
